For another software developer to satisfy the customer’s need, its means that this very same replacement developer is not available to satisfy market demand for better, more fulfilling products somewhere else. This robs other more promising software projects of labor as well as robs the market of better products.
So, let me get this straight. Because I am writing software, and releasing it for free, it is depriving the world of some company taking the same me, and selling the software to some subset of the world?
Crap, I'm outta this game, then. Who would have thought I was causing so much detriment to mankind by giving it all away for free. Obviously I didn't worship the free market at much as that man.
