The beautiful irony of being banned from Matthew Hooten's blog

So, there I was like many other people (including his co-blogger) incredulous that Matthew Hooten would use terms like "Axis" and even the full Godwin.

And so I posted this comment:

Heh. In a post where you claim the “Left” are delusional, you imply that The Standard is run by the Prime Minister’s office rather than Labour movement activists, and now you are not just comparing your opponents to a mass murdering regime, but actually going as far as to call them that.

That’s definitely a Godwin. Congratulations, Hooton, you are now officially a troll. And now, let us bring on the official troll plonking device.

*plonk*

And today, I see this response:

Sam Vilian, welcome to the banned list.

Funny, how I go from being thanked for my contributions to being banned in just a few weeks.

But what kind of reaction can you expect from people, when you devalue genocide and a suffering felt by a race of people in the Holocaust by throwing around such a loaded word as a mild insult. From me, you can expect a plonk.

Update: I explained it to them, and now I'm no longer banned, but Hooten is still using the term "axis".
