DO NOT FORWARD election advertisement texts today!
I just got a forwarded text message ... the message included an authorization statement and encouraged me to vote for a particular party. It is illegal to encourage people to vote for a particular party on the day; all you can do is ask them to vote.
Demonstrably non-partisan information without commentary is fair game. I recommend the following:
- The Pundit election quiz that asks you where you stand on various defining issues and then tells you which party most accurately represents your views
- TheyWorkForYou.co.nz is all about checking up what parties have done in parliament
- Of course the elections site for a list of polling places
