Telstra rejects the copyright code - and one thing that's not been highlighted clearly is that they're not just rejecting the TCF code, their statement appears to effectively reject the law:

"The idea our customers can be disconnected on accusation and not proof does not pass the 'fair test'."

That's a pretty bold thing for them to say. Telstra, being a trans-national entity, may end up shaping the law, just like Nokia have in Finland.

Well, it's interesting seeing things swing in the way of freedom this time even if most of the time it tends to swing in favour of the corporations that influence them. Eg, the upcoming corrupt selling out of our prison system, ACC, foreign aid, etc. Well, at least it was a battle well chosen.
